On the day I started at ElasticBox, I talked to the team about winning the day. This means different things to everyone. For me, it’s about doing the best you can do, each day, to move the business forward. As an example, for the engineering team, this means creating and delivering features that customers value. In sales, this means moving customers through the pipeline to close. For marketing, this means delivering the right message to the right person at the right time.
On Monday, June 13th, ElasticBox was acquired by CenturyLink. It was a momentous event in our company history and for our investors and partners. However, for our employees and customers, not much really has changed. Our employees are still able to pursue their passion to help customers deploy applications to the cloud. And for our customers, they will receive even better support from us as part of the CenturyLink team. They will see more rapid feature delivery and greater service and responsiveness, as we bring more resources to the promise and delivery of cloud applications.
Over the years, we talked to hundreds of CIOs, cloud ops teams and architects, and we found that each enterprise’s journey to the cloud varied. And while technology such as ElasticBox can solve a consistent orchestration problem across any cloud, enterprises often need professional consulting and managed services to help them address cultural and process issues. This is why merging with CenturyLink made so much sense to us.
We’re excited to integrate ElasticBox into a broader range of software, services and datacenter solutions that CenturyLink offers to help accelerate customers’ adoption of hybrid cloud.
Deep thanks to our customers, investors and employees who helped us achieve this milestone. We look forward to the next chapter as part of CenturyLink!
